M9A4 with compensator FTF

I have a M9A4 and i ran across a Tandem Kross compensator (Game Changer PRO Squared Compenastor). It threads on the barrel just fine. But 95% of the time it will not feed a round automatically. If I remove the compensator it feeds every round perfectly. Does this make sense?

Is the compensator just too heavy?

Maybe try a stiffer recoil spring. What benefits are you expecting from the compensator? These companies want to make sales and tell us how their "ideas" will enhance our shooting experience. Yeah, I want to sell shinola to a dedicated audience too.

From their website :

COMPATIBILITY: This compensator is best-suited for firearms with fixed barrels, most especially 9mm carbines. Compatibility with pistols that do not feature fixed barrels is not guaranteed.
