Reports are now saying the "teenage female shooter" is 28 yrs. old. Still no motive known. But, the talking heads are at it once again, saying the same things they did after the last school shooting.

And yet, another side door was left unsecured, thus allowing the shooter to enter.

UPDATE: FOX News is now reporting that the shooter is transgender or undergoing the process.

I've looked all over and cannot find a transgender emoji. In this day & age, there needs to be some.

I had seen on one report- don't remember which one- that the shooter was a previous student at the school???
This is not good.

Its a dern cry’n shame. There are no winners to be found in this.
But yet, you know who they’re gonna come after and blame (us) and call the NRA a terrorist organization while Antifa isn’t.

I'm not a religious person, and this isn't an attempt to start a religious debate. But, if I was at all religious, I'd think the "End Of Days" were closing in. :(

I suspect??? that since this is a Presbyterian (straight and narrow) school and the perp is a previous student AND identifies as transgender....that this may be a "I'll get you back" kinda thing??

Signs like this are on 5 of the closest districts to me. This particular one is on the school the kids and grandchildren attended. There is a reason these things don't happen there.
The nice young lady taking the pic sent it to me at my request.

I do recall some years ago about a big push to allow teachers and some staff to be trained and armed.

Heard that it never really caught on though.

Seems to be mostly thanks to School Boards and managing faculty. Remember, you have to get past the indoctrinated "educators".
A lot of districts have armed staff here, not enough, but a lot more than most think. Not all advertise it though.
Some follow the FAFO doctrine, while others think discouraging bad behavior before it needs to be discouraged is the way to go. Neither are wrong.

I've heard support for and against. Big liability issue to be considered for school districts, as well as training and updating training costs.

Not sure where you are, but which is liability? Being able to do something proactive to prevent or lesson a disaster, or sitting on the collective thumbs?
Many districts do contribute as part of the budget, but a lot of ranges and instructors donate their time and ranges. Ammo was being donated to a few, discounted to others, and several other procurements, but not sure if that is happening now or how much.
Turn off the CNN.

I don't watch CNN and such. I was just expressing an opinion was all. I didn't see what I posted etched in stone somewhere and then decided to post what I saw.

It's an extremely complicated topic and there's no easy no-brainer solution that I'm aware of.

Goldwing, please stop.

On that other thread, you misread his post and intention... And now this. I appreciate your participation, but stop picking on a moderator please.

That is all that will be said about this.
