Walther PP 1950's production mags drop out when I shoot.

Just took a newly purchased Walther PP out for a first target shooting session. Each time I put a mag in and fire the mag falls out into my palm. I have different old mags (Manurhin, Walther PP and PPK/S). I minimized the issue by using my pinkie finger to secure the mag in the pistol from the bottom but as you can all understand this isn't going to fly as the solution. I figured I'd ask all of the experts here in the forum for a consensus on what the likely issue is. Do you think it's the mag catch button or could it be that the mags are worn out. With all of the mags doing this I am leaning towards the mag catch button. Or is it likely something else. The PP is .32 ACP.

Thanks for any help!

I am personally more familiar with the P99...

I would go ask at our sister site, that is dedicated to Walthers. They can probably help you:

Good luck!
Thanks for pointing me to the right forum!

Since the magazine only falls out while you're firing the gun. It sounds to me like the magazine catch spring is worn out. You can find a replacement here: Walther PP Parts & Schematic | Numrich Gun Parts
