Ive had the past experience of the magazine release button inadvertently hit either stowing the gun away for the night.
Under a pillow, under a mattress Or however.
I've obtained the habit of hard tapping my magazine autos. @ necessary times .
Can't remember the last time it's happened, but it has in the past.
Not all of my mags slide out freely.

Just curious if anyone does the same or similar ?
A disconnected magazine could end up in a bad way

The pistols that I count on for self defense will consistently disengage (eject) the magazine when the release is pushed. I have never felt the need for an extended mag release.
I can imagine a mag hitting the turf when it matters most. Not an ideal scenario to say the least.
