Looks like I'm the king of housework in my household. Just finished vacuuming the entire house, watering the yard, vacumming the garage (dog hair), cleaning the kitchen and wiping out/disinfecting the inside of the icebox.

It would be nice if the wife did her share of the housework

<sigh>

Oh well...

At least I'm off to the range in 3 hours...

Complaining about this is like:

Wait until you have kids........then you can pick up after them too! Not only do I have kids, they are both GIRLS! They have been trained well by their mother in the age old art of femaleity (shopping, bedroom messes, ruining some types of food, and the list goes on). I am in from mowing trying to lower my body temp at least near normal. My girls are in the kitchen stinkin' it up. Time for a Bitburger.

It was like that with my ex-wife...drove me nuts. My daughter was/is pretty good about picking up after herself, so problem there. :)

I'm getting ready to tackle my yardwork... :( I put it off last week so I could spend the day at the range.

Oh, don't get me wrong, we have great girls. One just graduated from high school and the other got married not long ago after graduating from A & M. The oldest one is becoming human again and it looks like the younger one is going to make to maturity after all. BUT..............it will be a big, big change from living with only your dearly beloved. My advice (which I go over to myself every morning while shaving) is to go slow, be patient, smile a LOT, and be very thick skinned when necessary. Oh, never assume whatever you say will be taken like you mean it. And we do have a lot of fun. When the girls were about 9 and 16, we all went to the ranch shooting my Glock 19. They loved it. Killed a lot of cactus. :lol:

I am with you there man. I am a neat freak and the wife is a slob, and I have a 7-year-old boy, which by definition is sticky.

Ya know, sometimes I get fed up, and tell myself -

"I won't complain to her anymore. And, I'm just gonna do what she does. She doesn't pick up after herself, neither will I."

I am lucky to make it 2 days. I just can't do it :oops: :oops:

Well, ya know, from my experience complaining certainly doesn't help the total situation and it sure won't make her any change her ways. Things will get better, one way or another. Just buy more guns! :lol:
