Has anybody had and luck changing out the trigger rebound and hammer spring to make this trigger pull more manageable ? I can’t even get it to register on my 12lb pull gauge. I can also report that Apex customer service just flat out lied and told me their j-frame tactical duty spring kit isn’t worth doodle squat ! Had 4 out of 7 failed to fires.

I put the Apex Duty/Carry spring kits in both of my S&Ws.
They made the their DA trigger pulls much better.

Rick, I have their Apex kit installed in two of my .38spl J-Frame revolvers. That was not my issue. They work fine in the center fire revolvers. My issue was that before I made the purchase, I personally spoke with one of their customer service people and he assured me that this duty carry kit would definitely work in my 22magnum rimfire revolver But I couldn’t use the new firing pin. The bottom line is he was either untrained, ill-informed, or just plain lying to make a sale. when I called yesterday to discuss a return, the customer service person said exactly the opposite of what the first service rep told me.

Myself I would not change the HAMMER spring on a rim fire revolver. I guess you're finding that out the hard way? You have to remember that this is a close range (under 10 feet) personal defense weapon where pin point accuracy isn't as important as reliability.

Well; I don’t blame him for trying; the heaviest trigger pull that I’ve ever seen is on my Ruger LCR in .22 LR.
I bought it as a training gun about a month before all the .22 ammo dried up.

Well, the most “bang for your buck” in that kit is the mainspring, and the next largest spring (I can’t remember the name offhand) in the kit.
The lighter weight firing pin return spring and firing pin likely don’t contribute that much to the lighter DA trigger pull.
I’d try it with those two; and see what results you get.

Rick, just for giggles, I did an average of 5 pulls on my 442 and it came out to 10lbs 8oz.

30 Specials typically have lighter trigger pulls than rimfire. Rimfires widely vary in primer sensitivity, and without stiff springs some brands just won't fire reliably. I would NOT alter any gun I intended for carry, other than perhaps sights. My reasons have nothing to do with liability, but with reliability. I did have a pair of CZ 75c's modified by CZ, they came out pretty slick and reliable over 10 years or so.
