Just tried out my new Beretta PX4 compact and it is not ejecting the brass. Any ideas?

Did you clean and lube it before your first range trip? The "oil" on a new Beretta is not a lube - it is a type of packing grease. Many people report issues on their first range trip because they didn't clean the gun when they bought it.

No I didn't. I just cleaned it and will try again. Thanks.

If you use decent ammo, I bet it works now. (Don't use Remington FMJ)

Be aware that the rotating cam of the barrel and guiderod block also need to be well lubricated.

Yes, they like to run "wet".

As you have already been told. The Px4s like a good bit of lube, especialli in the cam area. (Especially when new. When they wear in a bit, they get more forgiving.)
