hmm

that is a mighty fine blacksnake you have there. I live on the river and have blacksnakes and watersnakes visit often. Killing them was futile. If I kept the grass constantly mowed, basically making the living conditions for small animals less than desirable, the snakes left with the small animals (frogs, lizards, moles, etc). I also have 2 hawks, an osprey, and 3 eagles that keep the place under control too, but for me, keeping the grass down was key.

wow

wow, just make yourself at home eh? hehhe

The blacksnakes here aren't that brave, but we have these brown watersnakes here that are. These things get big too. They will lay out in the sun down by the bulkhead and like close their eyelids. You can mow grass, walk all around them, touch them with a stick, do whatever you want and they just lay there.

When you piss them off they emit this horrible odor.
