Newbi ammo question on 9mm

Welcome to the forum......

Your wife was being nice to you....... 9mm Luger is the right ammunition for an XD9..... How do I know, I own an XD9.......

As long as it is not surplus or hand loaded ammo you should be okay. Personally, if I did not know it's origin I wouldn't even take the chance. It's not worth it for the cost of a box of ammo.

It may be stamped on the chamber on the right side (The part that doesn't move when you work the slide. (It's where the bullet is loaded into the breech when you rack the slide) aka the ejection port. Look for something like: "Cal 9x19" Luger ammo is 9x19mm
