It's safe to say that guns are overall better made today than ever before. Brands that at one time would have brought forth derisive comments like Kahr, Taurus, and others are now made to higher standards and reliability.

I'm not saying I'd carry one, but for some they are a viable option at a certain price point. Good for them.
Well said. A lot of nice guns have come along the way in the last few years. New technology, better materials, and a lot of competition among manufacturers. I own 4 Kahrs and love them. And will not be getting rid of any of them. I do own a number of the Mico double stacks, Sigs etc (Still have the 365XL) and have shot most of them. Never once ever owned a Taurus, UNTIL I was given the opportunity to shoot the GX4. Of all the double stacks out there now, it is the Nicest one I have shot and own. Totally reliable after over 1500 rds and the Grip is perfect for my hand. One of the best grips made in the Double stack line up. Easy racking great EDC trigger. I am glad I kept a open mind and did not bring Bias to the table.
As far as new Kahr coming. I will be interested to see the other improvement he mentioned. The gun could use IMO a easier racking system. with serrations on the front. Not interested in a Double stack. They should keep the same Trigger. The internet Crowd now demand's more of a Target style trigger and short resets. I do not ride a reset on any gun never have so that is of no concern. The trigger on the Kahr is IMO one of the best ever made in a Micro 9mm or any size firearm. Yet unless Kahr gives into the Internet trigger love, you will still have the Hate that some folks will throw on their guns.
In the extremely High competition of the Micro 9mm market, Kahr is going to have to really come out with a Nice firearm. It will be very interesting to see what they present to the shooting world of Micro 9mm.

I have owned eleven Kahrs and still own two of them. Of those eleven, four had problems. One of those four was sent back to Kahr for warranty work and came back with the same problem it had when I shipped it out to them. The two I have kept work just fine but I would not carry either one of them in light of the current market and what my perceived wants and needs are at this time. Round count is a big reason for this, as is fluidity of carry and deployment.
