You are correct. One reviewer stated it was 4.5. A plus for this carbine is the inclusion of three magazines, 2 23 rounders and one 17 rounder.

Now I like to see one in person. The MSRP isn't bad either.
Unless you live in Washington, you get no magazines, 10 round max until it is struck down as the unconstitutional POS the law is. So irritating to live here and lose out on stuff included in you purchase. My IWI Masada came with no magazines, had to order 10 rounders for and extra 90 bucks

Seems that Keltec may have been concerned about the competition and offered a $100 rebate of their proven Sub2000 foldable PCC carbine. Mine is on its way

There’s ways around it that cant be mentioned here. But consider This…..if I lived there, I’d buy one anyway. Then I’d call my brother in Wyoming and have him send me the magazines I want. (Nobody ever got arrested because they had higher capacity magazines.) I have never heard of a gang banger being charged with a lesser crime of having a HICAP magazine. Most DA’s don’t persue anything but the big convictions while dropping the frivolous charges in the case.
I’ve visited a couple of states where they have HICAP laws and I’m not about to swap em out either. Law enforcement refuses to look for and retain anyone with hicap magazines in states with such laws.
One state in particular I visit it’s also illegal to carry with a round loaded in battery. Police refuse to enforce such draconian laws. Again….they’re just trying to turn good guys into bad guys. If I get arrested or a citation (pretty much impossible) then its worth it to pay the fines or fight it. In my views, sometimes it’s ok to bend draconian laws and sometimes it ok to break em!
Better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

That is an excellent point. The question I ask myself is the gain of velocity with a longer barrel of a PCC worth the added length in a close quarter situation. vs. just using a 9mm pistol.. I can see how they would be easier to fire accurately.
They also fold to a smaller package. Great for transporting and carrying a bag unobtrusively among a crowd of people. That is a big selling feature to me.
I once met a fellow who used a Head (brand) racquet case to carry his M92 AK pistol. No one would know.
While TSA might find this carbine, Greyhound probably wouldn't.

Magazines can be easily pinned to accept only 10 rounds.
There are many 2A advocacy groups in Washington. Several are waging lawsuits with the State. Supporting them might be a consideration.

I'm not familiar with S&W magazines. What particular magazines does the FPC use so I can start shopping for extra mags?

Standard 9mm M&P mags.

But the gun comes with two 23 round mags. Those have never been sold before. So, you will have to wait for them to start selling those

But, 15 and 17 round 9mm M&P mags can be bought now, and work in the gun.

I think PCCs make great home defensive guns. .223/5.56 are too damn loud indoors
Yea and the 9mm might not kill your neighbors.... just a thought, problem is trying to find a fpc to buy...

The Keltech cannot fold with an optic, and the trigger components are made of polymer, and wear out over and over... This is way better than the Keltec.
Sure it can! I have an optic and light on mine and it still folds. At about $300 less it's a bargin and BTW the internals can be changed

from what I’ve heard…..frequently too

Not as often you may think with the MCARBO setup

Show us how you have it set up. Unless you use that folding optic mount, or a side mounting system, I don't see how it can fold with an optic.

And yea, you had to change out the factory trigger parts.

I am glad you like yours, but I would rather have the S&W. I don't need to change anything.

That thought about the 9mm has been mine. I've kept an AK close by for 20 years, but never considered it the best for home defense use, particularly inside the house. A Saiga 12 ga has been my standby for about 18 years, but a shotgun blast inside the house has drawbacks.

That's the reason the S&W FPC has my attention. With a light (and eventually a suppressor) inside the house would make any work quieter and much less danger of over-penetration.

As you stated, the problem is finding one. I'm first on the list at two LGS, and in talking to Cabela's the story is the same. "We just got one in and it went within an hour. They've been on backorder for two-three months."

Yes Sir, I'll post one up when I get back home but, all I did was put a 45 degree mount on the side into the m-lock and that clears the fold. It adds a little to the with and still allows me to use the sights with only a twist of the wrist for the optic. I'm certainly not bashing the S&W! I'm sure it's a quality firearm!

Interesting idea. The folding mount that was out 10 or 15 years ago would not hold a zero, from what I read on forums at the time. Your idea is an interesting one. 45 degree mount... Good idea...
