Purchased a AR last week. MSP is backlog on purchase request that they have ask gun shop to not release the guns, even after the regulated 7 days. Anyone else see this

I purchased a glock 21 12/23/12 and didn't get to take delivery until 1/23/13...I thought the 7 day wait was painful before! I was told the mass firearms purchases as of lately had caused the background checks to be delayed but I wasn't in a hurry to push the 7 day pick up. Finding ammo is just as bad. I hope we get some better explanations. Did you get your AR yet?

Can't go wrong with a Glock or a .45, Gen 3 or 4. I was looking at a 23 last year but decided to go with the M&P 40 since its the main firearm the state issues us for use. Have put about 3000 rounds through it and maybe 3 or 4 jams. Was having trouble getting ammo for that and my mini and some other firearms until I just decided to get it through Cheaperthandirt.com, they were out of .223 for a while but slowly been getting back to norm. 00 and slugs for the Shot Guns can be easily enough to find at Bass. Picked up 250 rounds of 00 3 1/2" yesterday.
