MORE ON NEW EAA MC 14 T TIP-UP BARREL .380

With an easy-loading barrel akin to that seen on pocket .22s in the past but in a 14-shot .380, Florida-based European American Armory may have a hit on its hands with the new Girsan MC 14 T.

If you always wanted a Beretta 86 )discontinued) - this is the gun for you.

I would get one, but I previously had a Beretta 95. Those blowback 380s are snappy. More recoil than a 9mm, IMHO. It is because it is not a locked breach design. I have skinny hands, and the 85 I had just killed that bottom joint of my thumb (in the web of my hand). I had to sell that gun because of it.

The Beretta 85 was a single stack - this new gun is a double stack (like the 84 and 86 models). So, the wider backstrap may make this better.

Anyway - it looks sweet :)

I've found that for me many micro/small/airweight handguns are too snappy, grips too small, and have too much recoil for what they offer. As to the family of .380 calibers, I've found the CZ82 in 9x18 to be excellent for me as it's steel, bigger in size, grips that fit me, and recoil that's easy to control.

Small/airweight/micro handguns have their place, just not with me.

Well, this gun is not small, but it is blowback

The small Glock 42 in 380 is very pleasant to shoot. But many small 380s are blowback design, which is much snappier.

I change the recoil springs to minimize felt recoil. It works.
The pop-up design works for people who can't easily exercise the slide. (Different recoil springs can help there also)
I like the classic exposed-barrel and will look at this and watch the reviews. It's a pistol that I wold consider (especially since CZ doesn't have a .380acp pistol in production).
IMHO

I want one! I've been looking for a Beretta 86 for years, to replace the one I gave to my wife's grandmother.

This is a beautiful piece but I just picked up a Ruger Security 380 and a Sig P365-380. I think a Tisas Stingray has replaced this on my wants list.

Is that Ruger the Lite Rack 380?

I came close to buying one of those a couple of months back.

Yes it is. I haven't shot it yet but it seems well built. I'm getting a little (lot) older and I'm starting to experience arthritus in my hands so I'm preparing for the worst. 15+1 rounds of modern 380 acp should work when the 45 and 9mm home defense guns get to be too much.

I like shooting my Glock 42, which is 380. Very mild. I just wish it held more rounds. That is why I was looking at the Ruger.

Let us know how you like it once you shoot it
