Stealth, I'm not surprised your new Baer functions reliably, even if it is Baer tight. I've had 4 Baers over the last 20 years or so; all but the first pretty tight. I still have my favorite, the second I bought 20+ years ago, a HBNM. Still seems as tight as ever, and still functions 100% with any ball or JHP ammo I've used in it. It's a regular 3" gun, but the 50 yard test target shows 10 shots in just under 2".
