New Pre-owned gun: This American Tactical 1911 handgun was in involved in a trade last night. This was my second Filipino 1911. The gun was reliable save a minor magazine ans/or ammo problem. The gun shot POA at ten yards. Accuracy was very good. The trigger was crisp and worked very well as is. The gun was tight as in no slop. This will be a carry gun. It needs some more shooting. Today's loads were basically 200gr. lead SWC's target loads. Looks like this entry level gun is a winner. A good basic handgun with no bells and whistles.

Congrats on the reliability, we could only hope until we got to the range.

Pretending I didn't have stuff to do, took off for the range. The 45 ACP rounds loaded up were for the weekly matches. I remembered a box of loose rounds. Picked out eleven 45 rounds. All were hollow point save one factory FMJ. Got to the range to see if the gun world work with the orginal magazine and HP cartridges. There were three or four rounds in the mix of home cast hollow points. Gun was fearsome on tin cans with nary a bobble.
