For every day carry under most all conditions I perceive to encounter, the gun I carry most of the time currently is my P365XL. It is box stock, with the exception of its primary magazine having a MagGuts spring kit and a Tactical Development Pro Ledge MagGuts base plate, and most of the time rides in a Rounded By Concealment Express OWB Kydex belt loop holster. The MagGuts spring kit adds two more rounds to the stock 12-round factory mag giving you 15 rounds of 9mm ammunition when in full battery. This kit makes use of a flat spring rather then the more common coil spring, and also makes the magazine much easier to load to full capacity. The gun is +P rated and has never failed in my range visits with it. It works great for those with small to medium size hands and the slide is easier to rack than most compact to subcompact guns. Another nice point is the rear sight does not have any sharp points on it that can be an annoyance.

Mine does have a manual safety (only XL they had in stock at the time I bought it) but this safety is ALWAYS disengaged when the gun is on my person. There are several other fine pistols in my primary carry stable, however this P365XL has earned first place most of the time as being the sidearm that accompanies me when I am out and about.

I plan to rent the 365 next week to shoot. I already shot the 365 Macro at the rental range a while back. But, the range has a holosun mounted on it. And, it was the first time I ever shot a pistol optic. I spent more time paying attention to that, so I couldn't really focus on how the gun shot.

For me, the Shield Plus is the gun I've spent 30 years looking for. I rotate between my 3" Perf Center model and my 4" Perf Center model. My favorite keeps switching back and forth between the two, and this summer will be 2 years I have owned them. The 4" model is scary accurate. I shoot it just about as well as my Glock 34 Combat Master that is 4x the price.

Both guns are unmodified. But the triggers are amazing. They break between 3.25 and 3.5lbs.

I have smaller hands, so with the Hogue Jr grip on both, the grip is perfect for my hand. I think that is one reason I shoot them so well. The original Shield was TOO thin, but these are perfect.

As you know, I also have an M&P 9 Shield Plus in the standard barrel length and a Performance Center version with the 4" barrel, as well. Both are fine pistols and both live in my primary carry stable. The trigger on the PC version is crazy good right out of the box.

As for the standard P365, I am not much of a fan of that pistol as I much prefer the 'X' and 'XL' versions and have one of each of those.

I have a couple of little 1911s (plus quite a few bigger ones); a former MIMber and a Sig.
I’ve done a lot of work to the Ultra CDP II; but still won’t carry it because it’s a Kimber (used to be a MIMber).

Revolver Wood Air gun Gun barrel Wood stain
Handgun holster Hunting knife Wood Tool Gun accessory

Both are quite accurate, and very reliable; the Sig right out of the box. The Kimber; it took a lot of work to get it reliable (and MIM free).

I also have a few other little carry guns, but rarely ever carry them. They exist only to be my “when the back’s out bad” carry guns. I don’t really have any pics of most, but they’re:
Sig P365 SAS (with a Wilson Grip Module)
Sig P365 X
Kahr CM9
Shield 9 Plus
Sig P238

And the mouse guns:
KelTec P-32
Browning Baby
NAA Mini Revolver in .22 LR
Ruger LCP II in .22 LR

I really like the all metal Kahr. The P9? The smoothest DA trigger that I have ever shot. The detraction for me was the slide racking -- it was beyond my strength.
For mouse guns, I like the Beretta Model 21A (.22lr). Their 32acp model was too heavy and difficult for me to shoot. I do have an NAA Mini-Revolver but it is more of a belly/nose gun because of its accuracy issues. (Though it is reassuring to have it with me -- it's better than nothing.)
S&W - I've never had good performance from their magazines.
Ruger - I can afford better now and don't touch their pistols (with the exception of the 5.7x28mm pistol).

Took the px4 out today ran 150 rds not one hiccup perfect thanks shipwreck for sayin run the rotating barrel wet made all the difference and that hogue grip was great good day at the range
Glad it worked well.

I reoil the barrel and frame rails every 2-3 weeks on mine. That cam system does have to stay wet.

But, it is a good polymer DA/SA gun.

In my latest American Rifleman saw a short read on a Ruger Security 380 new one from them and looks like a pretty nice gun
I want one of these. I have seen them online to order, but no one around here has 1 in stock so I can look at it.

Although my G42 was unreliable, it was cool to be able to do a mag dump and do much better on the target. This is a larger 380 - so, I know it isn't a pocket gun. But, if I like the way it feels, I plan to buy one.

I called like 10 or 12 gun stores this afternoon, looking for one. But, have had no luck. And, I've watched all the Youtube reviews on em....

I don’t trust them either but I saw them on guns.com I purchased several guns from them no problem they even price match I got 95. Back from when I purchased a s/w model 10 the price went down as I push to button to purchase and they refunded the difference to me they are good try them
