    Are Texas CHLs criminals?

    Hardly, here are some Texas Conviction Statistics

    For the year 2005 (latest data) there were a total of 34,791 convictions for crimes in Texas.

    129 of those convicted were Concealed Handgun License (CHL) holders. That is just over 1/3 of 1 percent (0.3708%).

    For the following categories:

    Aggravated Assault Causes Serous Bodily Injury, there were 357 convictions. 2 (0.56%) were CHL holders.

    Aggravated Assault w/deadly weapon: 1,379 convictions. 4 (0.29%) had CHLs.

    Aggravated Robbery: 958 convictions. 3 (0.31%) had CHLs.

    Aggravated Sexual Assault: 119 convictions. 0 had CHLs.

    Aggravated Sexual assault of a child: 696 Convictions. 13 (1.87%) had CHLs.

    Aggravated Sexual Assault of Elderly/Disabled: 11 Convictions. 0 had CHLs.

    Assault causing Bodily Injury: 5,870 Convictions. 8 (0.14%) had CHLs.

    Assault Causing Bodily Injury Family Violence: 3,718 Convictions. 15 (0.15%) had CHLs.

    Burglary of Habitation Intend other Felony: 157 Convictions. 0 had CHLs.

    Burglary Habitation Intend Sex offense: 1 Conviction. 0 had CHLs.

    Burglary of Building: 1,918 Convictions. 1 (0.05%) had CHLs.

    Burglary of Habitation: 2,449 Convictions. 3 (0.12%) had CHLs.

    Capital Murder of a Peace Officer or Fireman: 51 Convictions. 0 had CHLs.

    Criminal Negligent Homicide: 42 Convictions. 1 (2.38%) had CHLs.

    Deadly Conduct: 901 Convictions. 12 (1.33%) had CHLs.

    Deadly Conduct Discharge Firearm: 104 Convictions. 0 had CHLs.

    Display handgun License Refusal 2nd: 1 Conviction. 0 had CHLs.

    Indecency w/Child Sexual Contact: 613 Convictions. 5 (0.82%) had CHLs.

    Indecent Exposure: 387 Convictions. 1 (0.26%) had CHLs.

    Injury Child/Elderly/Disable W/Int Bodily Inj: 255 Convictions. 0 had CHLs.

    Kidnapping: 44 Convictions. 1 (2.27%) had CHLs.

    Manslaughter: 63 Convictions. 1 (1.59%) had CHLs.

    Murder: 175 Convictions. 1 (0.57%) had CHLs.

    Place Weapons Prohibited: 44 convictions. 0 had CHLs.

    Proh Weapon: 129 convictions. 0 had CHLs.

    Proh Weapon Switchblade/Knuckles 592 Convictions. 2 (0.34%) had CHLs.

    Robbery: 972 convictions. 1 (0.10%) had CHLs.

    Sexual Assault Child: 178 Convictions. 0 had CHLs.

    Sexual Assault Child: 386 convictions. 5 (1.30%) had CHLs.

    Terroristic threat: 1,175 convictions. 5 (0.43%) had CHLs.

    Terroristic Threat interrupt Public Place: 95 Convictions. 0 had CHLs.

    Terroristic Threat of Family/Household: 223 convictions. 2 (0.90%) had CHLs.

    Unlicensed Carry Handgun Lic Holder: 16 convictions. 14 (87.50%) had CHLs.

    Unlicensed Carry Handgun Lic Holder Alch Prem/Corr: 1 conviction. 0 had CHLs.

    Unl Carrying Weapon: 2,922 convictions. 27 (0.92%) had CHLs.

    Unl Poss Firearm by Felon: 603 Convictions. 0 had CHLs.

    Unl Poss Firearm involving Family/Household: 13 convictions. 1 (7.70%) had CHLs.

    Unl Restraing 145 convictions. 0 had CHLs.

    There are other categories of crimes with convictions, but none involve CHL holders.

    Any member of the ACLU (commies) will tell you those figures are wrong. The liberal (socalist) press will agree and slant it to their taste. Just ask Rosie (socialist elite) as the invention of the fork is her reason for being fat. The general public will never see them figures.

    Its a rhetorical question: a figure of speech in the form of a question posed for rhetorical effect rather than for the purpose of getting an answer. ("How many times do I have to tell you to stop walking into the house with mud on your shoes?").

    Mr Baldy, I agree 100% except for the fork comment. It was Rosies spoon with the racing stripe on it that made her FAT. Or it might have been that KFC SPORK.
