    Duplicate CHL

    I recieved my CHL around Sep 15th.

    I arrived home this evening (10/5/06) and found a duplicate CHL in the mail. As far as I can tell, everything is exactly the same, right down to the scary picture of me without glasses.

    Anyone else from Texas get a duplicate?

    There was no explanation, just the license.

    No, "we know your forgetful, so here's a spare."

    No "we're sorry you didn't get to carry while you were in Chicago, this ought to make you feel better."

    No "oops, we goofed, there is hidden information on the magnetic strip on THIS license that doesn't appear on the other."

    No "congratulations! You won the CHL lottery, and you get to carry anywhere now."

    No "get out of jail free."

    Nothing.

    I'm perplexed.

    Anyone else?

    Probably some computer error. Just keep the extra 1 in case ya loose the first

    +1 I would keep 1 in my wallet and 1 in the car just in case your wallet disappears(as pickpockets have been known to make them do)

    NEVER in the car!...........if it gets stolen, there goes your CHL! Personally, I think I would grind it and pretend it never existed!

    My renewal CHL class says it is illegal to have two Texas CHLs- at least on U at the same time. So, be aware of this.

    I keep one in my wallet, and the other I put in whatever "junk" britches I wear to walk the dogs, or go bicycling.

    That way always have one on me, and I don't have to carry a wallet to walk or ride.
