    Question Ranges in Austin area

    I'm going to Austin near the end of August. Anyone know of any gun ranges in the area where I might be able to rent a gun? I am especially interested in renting a Springfield XD sub and a Walther P99.

    I'll be staying in a campground south of Austin, so a range in Buda would not be out of the question.

    There are a couple of members in that area - hopefully, they will see this thread.

    I am a 2 hour drive from Austin - a bit east and a little north. Anyway, if ya make it here, I'll let ya shoot my P99s.

    Local shop has a standard size XD to rent - no compact, though, unfortunately.

    Red's indoor range, one in north austin, one in south rent guns though neither of those two are listed on their site. However, as far as I can tell the site hasn't been updated in awhile so I would call them. You can find them at www.redsguns.com

    Red's in South Austin (Oak Hill area) is LOUD and HOT! I won't go back in the summer, for sure. Never been to Red's in North Austin.
