The "payment" may not be as overt, but the corruption of our officials goes all the way to the top of our government. The enforcement of our immigration laws is token at best. In fact we have people outraged over Arizona's attempt to enforce the existing federal laws at the state level. True, the top officials are just getting political support, and the campaign cash cannot be spent for personal use, but it is no surprise to find lower level workers cashing in on the same deal.
