I'm actually going to buy a *gulp*...... GLOCK!! Yeah, I'm going to the dark side!! :smt083

I never really liked them much, even after shooting one a year or so back, but I shot my first IDPA event recently and had a blast. I figured if I'm going to get into that stuff that I should have a gun that seems a little more suited than what I have...most people there were using a Glock. I remembered what you said about their "Low bore axis" and how the trigger's reset is well suited for faster shooting, so I rented a G19 the other day. I shot really well with it, and really liked the trigger this time, especially since I knew what I was looking for. The first time I shot a Glock I didn't care for the trigger, but that was when I was just using my guns for plinking.

BTW, I used my USPc 9mm for the IDPA I shot and I did pretty well with it, but I still think I'd do better with the Glock, especially considering how well I grouped with it my first time out and with rapid fire thrown in, too.

Funds are short, so I agreed to sell my XD9sc. I love the gun, but I'm not going to get rid of any others, and I have a couple that still work fine for CC. Hopefully, I'll have a new G19 soon! :smt1099

step awaaaaayy from the plastic. Come on now lets not be hasty. Have you had the experiance, NAY the PLEASURE of shooting a 1911? Pay no attention to the man behind the Glock curtian.:mrgreen:

Yeah, had the 1911 and loved it, but had to sell it when we needed some $$ in a heartbeat. It was the only one of my guns I never shot (because .45 is so expensive), so that was my justification. I FULLY intend to buy another 1911 someday!! I have to get reloading equipment first though!! :mrgreen:

My 1911 is my carry gun, but my wife just bought a Glock 19, and I have to admit, I kinda pushed her in that direction. I am feeling the tug to the darkside myself.

Regarding reloading, that is a hobby I can fully recommend.

Let us know how the contests go. I really want to go check out a meet sometime.
