Saw a glock 357 sig for sale today with a extra barrel in S&W 40. That's nice to have two different rounds to shot out of one pistol and all you have to do is replace the barrel. I wish Walther would come out with a 357 sig barrel for my P99 40.

i know you can get aftermarket 357sig barrels for most 40s&w pistols, but not all manufacturers have a factory barrel replacement. i really like the 357sig round but it does do a good job of hammering on your gun. i'm not sure if i would put a 357 barrel on your 40 if walther isn't doing it. check on the walther forum, maybe it's out there already.
Didn't barsto make a 357 sig barrel for the p99 at one point? I know i've seen some people talk about one.
Barsto did indeed make a .357sig barrel for the P99 at one time. They no longer are listing it though.
You don't have to use aftermarket barrels to convert!

I have been considering getting a 22 barrel for my 31, just haven't gotten around to it because I have a different 40 pistol. I like the 357sig round but it's so expensive. :(
