Don't tell me you got dogs after you too? If you are thinking of one for protection I would forget about it. To little and fast unless you hit them in the eyeball. I don't know of any pistol being made for it but anything is possible. Good luck.

I believe you can get a barrel for a Contender in that caliber also.

Kimber makes a .17 rimfire in a 1911.

I'm surprised that Ruger or Browning haven't chambered their Mark III or Buckmark in .17HMR

I've also wondered that. I think there's a conversion kit for 10/22's though.
