I am aware that if I were to purchase a firearm online, the company must do an FLL transfer to my local shop.
My question is does every shop have a different transfer price, or does it hold a universal price set by law? How much does it cost? Are there any other transfer costs besides that?

In my experience, a different price at the shops discretion.
Usually, around $20..
The cost is up to the individual dealer.
One guy I knew charged 10% of the cost of the firearm if an identical
firearm was available in his shop.
He is out of business now.
Moral of the story is to shop around.

Wow, you guys are lucky. I just spoke with someone from my local gun shop and they charge $55 for the transfer, even if they don't carry the same brand name... :smt076
That's ridiculous!
Consider going to Gunbroker, AuctionArms or GunsAmerica web sites or even on major firearms company's web sites for the "Find a FFL" dealer. You will likely find individuals near by that are much less expensive.
I have retail firearms stores not to be the "best deal" around. :rolleyes:
most around me charge 45-50$ I would like to purchase online or even used online but in the end its not worth it.

I paid $25.00 at my place.
$35 is the standard around here. I did just find a local auction place that has a FFL and he does it for $20. You just have to keep looking. I was surprized to see how many FFL's and SOT's were around.
In my city, I've found that pawn shops with FFL are cheaper than gun shops.
