Anyone fired a Rohrbaugh 9mm?

I went to this website:

And the smallest 9mm pistol they show is the Rohrbaugh R9...R9S if you want sights.

This is one of those $1000 guns. You may find it cheaper if you hunt.

One site I found, recommended the Kahr sub-compact PM-9 over the R9S. The Kahr is pretty close in price to the R9S, but not quite as small. One reviewer mentioned that for the price of the Kahr, it should come with more than 1 magazine.

Given the price of both the Kahr and the R9S, I think I will downgrade to 380 ACP and get a Kel Tec instead...but I am tempted to get a 9mm that is barely bigger than the Kel Tecs...not sure if it is worth 3-4 times the cost though.

Does anyone have any thoughts on these 9mm mini-guns?

Pretty much everything I have read about the Rohrbaugh has been negative. With the cost, the subject doesn't come up very often. I think it is ridiculous to pay that much for that little gun. But the few people who have seem to not be very satisfied.

I like my P99c, which is about the size of a Glock 26. If ya want a smaller 9mm, look at Keltec or Kahr. Just realize that as U get smaller, that size 9mm is not very pleasant to shoot. Also, look at the S&W CS9 - Its a bit bigger than the Kahr, but is still single stack.

Yup, I've got an R9s. Recoil is sharp and I don't fire many magazines through it when I practice at the range. At 7 yards it's an accurate shooter as long as I do my part! It's a tight tolerances built little gun and some owners find it picky about what it likes to eat. I carry it with 147 gn. Golden Sabres but practice with WWB rounds, all with no problems. My gun had feeding problems last year but these were solved by new mag springs, no big deal. Now, it's completely reliable. In a pocket holster the gun just disappears even in jeans but there's 6 rounds of GS avaliable to me all the time. Check out www.rohrbaughforum.com and read all the posts about the gun. You'll see how the FTF problems reported by users are being resolved. Mine certainly were. The gun's expensive but IMHO it's the best pocket gun out there.

If I am in a gun fight, I have bigger problems than the size of my gun.
