I am very happy that the House is controlled by the Republicans and that they wont support an assault weapons ban. So it seems when the Hoarders stop buying up everything that products will become available again.
Lets not stop fighting until we know for sure. There are a lot of back room deals that go on in D.C. If gun control is off the table, something else will be on the table. I do not trust any of them with my freedom. They have all proven to be untrustworthy.....
It's nothing but a "feel good" law anyway. We already had a ban on assault weapons, and it did nothing. Somehow, it's now supposed to work?:roll:

Cuomo's wonderful midnight legislation also made my Ruger 10/22 an assault weapon because of the aftermarket bullpup stock it is in (bought the rifle for $50.00 at a yardsale because the wood stock was broken)Quote:

This is - or SHOULD BE - an insult of epic proportion to any American with an IQ over 5, to the parents of those lost in such tragedies, to any American with an allegiance to the Flag, or any other Jack-Wad who enjoys the Freedom of this Incredibly great nation, even if they ARE one to constantly bad-mouth it...
There will always be nut-cases with guns, and the path of least resistance will ALWAYS be the most attractive route upon which their insanity is manifested. "Hey, I got a great idea... Let's go shoot fish in a barrel!"
I have yet to hear anyone on the pro-gun side use the statistical evidence, other than to say that "Switzerland is so safe 'cause everyone has guns." Sure is, but look at situations like the supposed "Sandy Hook" tragedy. Such situations, in the absence of a law-abiding citizen with a gun, results in, on average, 14 casualties. Such situations, in the PRESENCE of a law-abiding citizen with a gun, results in, on average, 2 casualties. TWO. (I may have these stats one or so off on either side, but the result is still conclusive in support of the fact that guns in the hands of a law-abiding citizenry is a very, very POSITIVE AND NECESSARY thing.
It's all completely unreal to me that our politicians are getting away with their tom-foolery. Not only do I believe they should be impeached, but I believe half of them should be imprisoned.
If you move to make the motion, I will second the motion. You are right about the foolery, we should start judging our politicians more on their actions,,, not promises ,or how well they speak.Quote:
