Welcome from Stone Mountain Georgia. As to what you should buy, it all depends on what you use it for. Target practice, are you going to carry it?, home defense, anybody else going to be using it i.e. a wife or girlfriend? Lot of things to consider

Big Glock fan here; hard to go wrong with a G19.
A friend uses the 9mm M&P with no complaints.
Probably no bad choice between these two.
