I just re-upped to life member.
Well, technically you don't "support" the NRA except in believing in their cause. The bad news is that the Constitution isn't necessarily protecting the 2nd amendment...look at what NY has done. So, in effect, you are taking benefit from what the NRA does, but not actually paying for it...sort of like welfare for gun owners that "aren't paying their fair share". Not slamming you by any means. In fact, I just joined the NRA over the weekend at a gun show for $25 for the year. Even got an embroidered hat. Not that I need another baseball cap.
Just joined last week.
I am a new guy here so hello to all, I just joined the NRA yesterday took the 3yr membership. I reside in Jersey which is a tough state for almost everything. Just got permit for 3rd gun sig 226 and now the NCIS check is holding everything up.
Stupid system get approved from State police and FBI and now another 'instant ck". What next to slow process. Oh well I sit and wait patiently in the meantime no one has any ammo left on their shelves to buy for the gun.
I don't own a gun or even a license to get one yet but I joined for 2 years just to support. I feel like this 2nd amendment issue needs more help. I read in the economist today that since this whole political issue started NRA got over 250,000 new members in less than a month!
Yes, Endowment Life member
Belonging to the NRA is more about believing in a cause and standing up for it . Power in numbers . Standing on the sidelines gives you no voice in the matter .
BTW do they still have the $300 life member program? I want to upgrade but a $1000 is a little too much for me at the moment.

I would say even if you are already a member, continue to contribute whenever you can to the NRA-ILA. Every little bit helps.
Life member for 25+ years
Benefactor Level.
i am the NRA and i vote!
Definately would'nt have it any other way
2. no I'm not but i want to be ! where could i sign up ? I'm such a noob at this so please excuse my ignorance
yes,I am a NRA member. I think anyone who owns a gun should be! support the people fighting for our rights!!!!
Yes I am. I rejoined after Newtown. I feel they are our best hope of coming out of this Progressive-Liberal-Socialist agenda, to prevent any further chipping away at our 2A rights.
If you don't belong right now, then please join.
By the way I don't hunt, nor do I own a semi auto rifle in any configuration, or even a shotgun. I am a hand gunner and strongly believe in our Constitution and the BOR.
As always stay safe.
Sure am,thanks :)

How about "I don't know." ???
I joined up on Jan 19th at a gun show and haven't heard diddley from them. I called them twice in the past two days and got the recording that they were having technical difficulties and to call back. Got through today and the guy said "Oops, the computer is down, I can't see if we got your membership application, call back later." So, I'll try again tomorrow. Hope I wasn't "scammed" at the gun show. :smt075
Lifetime member here.
In case some are not aware: NRA has discounted the lifetime membership from $1000 to $300. In the past when I've seen this discount offered, another lifetime member had to "sponsor" the new person to get the $300 discount. But right now anyone can buy a lifetime membership for $300.
70% discounts don't come along very often in life!
