Newb from NorCal
Sup everybody, just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. I'm currently a member on another forum called TacomaWorld. I own a 1911 Rock Island Armory .45 and a 9mm Taurus pt92. Both keep me occupied on my days off from work, and no they haven't given me any problems for anybody that wants to know. I know a lot of peeps bash the Taurus on my other forums, but I've had mine for a few weeks now and everything is still all good... Lets hope it stays that way. Anyway, I joined the forums to gain a lot more knowledge on handguns. I'm pretty much still a newb so see y'all around!

I'm new here, too. So it's really not on me to welcome you, I guess, but welcome anyway.
I wanted to respond to you because you mention the "bashing" people always do on the PT92. I have a PT99 (same gun, just adjustable sight). I can't say it's my favorite gun, or even in the top 5, but I do like it. It's very accurate and fairly reliable (mine is a little picky about what hollows I use). The finish seems to wear relatively easily (compared to other guns I have with similar finishes). My only real complaint is a personal one: the fat grip doesn't fit my smallish hands very well.
As you know by now, no matter how nice something is, you will find people on line that put it down and call it junk. If they can't find anything else bad to say, they say it's overpriced or ugly.

Welcome NorCal. Enjoy the site.

Welcome to the site!
All the PT92/99 models I've ever seen/fired were solid performers in their class, and I prefer their frame-mounted safety/decock system over the slide-mounted lever on the 92-series Berettas.
