My First & Second Hand Guns!

Last night, I went to my Local Gun Shop and purchased my first (Ruger Sr22) and second (SR9c) handguns; now I just have to wait until after 7:05CDT Friday to actually take possession of them (gotta love Illinois... :smt076 NOT!).

I feel like a kid just before Christmas, I know what’s under the tree, but I can’t get it for a couple more days and the anticipation is killing me !!

I know I need to clean them both thoroughly to remove the heavy grease & lubricants used at the factory, but since my LGS also has a range, am I risking damaging the guns if I put a few rounds thru each before I come home Friday night to strip them & clean them ???

Pick up a gun cleaning kit and they will likely allow you to clean and lube them right at the store, if they are instructive they might even help......JJ

It will not damage the guns.....have fun.

Congrats on the 2 great guns! I'm sure you'll love them. I have the SR9c and I love it very much.
