hello.I am also new and looking forward to making friends and swapping info and war stories.

Recently got same. Was kicking around for another .22 to go with my Ruger MkIII; got the M&P because it handles just like my M&P .40 compact. So much like the same feel that it makes me smile every time I use it at the range. I'm shooting for pennies. The gun went thru a 500 round break-in period during which it had some FTE's. As you know, racking slide to fix it is easy and fast.

Now that it's had a few rounds it is nearly flawless. Hope the barrel holds out; I plan to shoot it a lot. Heard some things on the net about barrel issues. None yet. Will shoot a lot in first weeks to try to ID any faults.

Only annoyance is those pricey spare mags...
