New M&P 40 owner in Loveland.

Hi all. I picked up my first handgun this week, an M&P 40. I have only shot it once, and it feels oh so sweet! I think I would like to get involved (eventually) in competition shooting. I don't know where to find the info on specific training sites or course sites in northern Co. I would also like to know if anyone has or knows where I can find inexpensive, fun beginner training for people like me. I am former Army and I grew up hick, so I know how to handle my rifles and shotguns! I have just never been around handguns much and would like to be more than proficient with my new best friend!

I my area of NC, the local gun range is very helpful with questions of all types. I have received help with all facets of handgun use and maintenance. Like you, I grew up in a non-handgun household and while I had fired a few pistols I had never been taught the basics. I have a friend that seems to find everything about everything he wants to know on YouTube, but I prefer to be able to ask questions. I have a S&W 40c as my carry gun. I really love it.

You've probably found Front Range Gun Club by now! It's on S.Denver in Loveland , and a top notch shooting range!
