Desert Eagle Operation?
After the discussion about defining/explaining terms I tried to recall the Desert Eagle. My experience with these is limited.
My recollection of this pistol is that it is of a rotary bolt lock-up and gas operated. Is this true?
I've only shot a few, all .50 caliber, less than a hundred rounds.
Any help?

Slide Clatter?
We shot a couple hundred rounds through our D. E. last Saturday at the gun range and I noticed that there was sort of a clatter as the slide was racked when firing. I hadn't noticed this before and my wife mentioned she noticed it also. It shot great as usual with no problems. I was just wondering, is this a normal function of this pistol since it is designed as a service weapon?

I hope you're not asking me, because my experience with this monstrosity is limited.
But, the pistol is a rotary locking/unlocking gas operated pistol, so a considerable amount of commotion would be expected upon firing.
