hello from minnesota

I am new on this forum, and just getting back into pistols. To make a long story short, I used to own 3 guns (.9, .40 Springfield XD, and a .45ACP Glock). I sold them all 2 years ago because of an accidental discharge in my house, scared the hell out of me!! I had always been so careful and made a stupid mistake, thank God nobody was injured/killed. I was fearful of guns for quite some time, although long guns didn't bother me when hunting. I have been thinking I should get back into shooting and get a CC permit, as this will help me get over my fears and help me move on. So, I plan on getting a new pistol soon, and am pretty sure I will go with a Springfield again, no offense to anybody :-) Any feedback on my experience would be great, especially if you have been in my situation...thanks!!

(2) Was this your decision to sell or someone else's?
(3) Gun safety is a serious thing as you found out. You made a mistake, did you learn anything from it?
(4) Glad to hear you're interested in shooting again. Since I have no idea wat you fears are, I have no idea what will help you over them. Have you looked into getting some training? The NRA has programs as well as other places. Where are you? There may be some great training near you.
(5) Although Ive never had an ND (negligent discharge) I've trained several people who have had one.

Welcome... I think you'll find there's a great group of folks here that can & will help you ( or any of us) with almost any question ya might have. I think it's great your gettin back into shooting.
