What is the most practical gun to use on Steel Challanges???
I am completely new to competition shooting. Been shooting for years (24 yrs retired Army(of which 10 yrs in the Marines)), hunter and lately target shooting. Tired of punching holes.
I own a .357 SW 586, a Browning buck mark, and some single action.22s, a SW 442, blk pwdr .45 pistol, and the excess long guns as my wife puts it.....
I am planning to try to shoot at a steel challenge range outside Ft Leonard Wood, MO. I am planning to take my 357 and Browning.
I am just curious as to what most of you competitive shooters consider as a decent standard non-customized weapon for a complete newbie? I would prefer to review your suggestions as to hear from competitors at the range espouse what I have to have.
This is just for local shooting for me as I am totally retired now, dropped totally out of competitive bass fishing and have no aspirations to go beyond local shooting.
Thank you in advance. Ole Ed
