Bought A P11 Today. Blued. $260. OTD!
So, very excited about my newly acquired CCW. Kel Tec P11. I can fit it in my pocket with ease and only the back of the handle shows a tad bit (Haven't bought a holster yet, which will solve the problem). However 36W and 36L pants with an untucked shirt are easy to hide it with. I am 6'3'' 250lbs with a 36 inch waist, all my weight is in my shoulders and chest so this is an easy conceal.(I am very athletic build but this isn't a weight lifting forum so I am not going there). My winter gun is the good old Glock 19. But for summer carry in cargo shorts this is ideal. I had a Glock 27 last summer but it was so heavy it looked like I was shoplifting or something, when pocket carried. Glock fan for life but they weight was an issue for me in summer.
My question/comment though is what to do first. The Kel Tec forum we all know and love, that I am not going to plug in this forum out of respect, is saying Whites Eraser trick, and put 200 rounds thru it before you trust it to get the bugs out, and the ever popular F&B. But what have you guys done?? Cause some of those guys in that forum seem very biased. Do I really need to clean it like crazy? Cause I am from the school of Glock's where I know my Glock will eat whatever I feed it no matter what shape, size, condition.
Please and Thank you for any and all help. I am new to this forum but not "forum's". So try to just educate me on what to do with my Kel Tec first and not caliber, holster, method of carry.
