I'm trying this out. Just reversed my mag release button to the right side. Was hitting it too often with my thumb and found that now reversed, I can press it with my trigger finger, thus ensuring my finger is off the trigger for a mag reload. Anyone else try this?
No, but I'm a "lefty" and have several guns that I could reverse the safety's on and I don't need to.
I use my finger to release the mag. just like your doing.
It works well for me.

since you mention it, I read an article (don't remember where) about as lefty who had been doing that for a while, and recommended that us "normal handed" shooters give it a try. Getting that finger off the trigger for a reload isn't all that bad of an idea IMHO. I might switch my M&p over for my next range visit and see how it works for me...
Thanks for the input southpaws...I'm a lefty myself, but right eye dominant so I shoot right handed. Golf too.
I've found that I have to shift the gun, my 24/7, in my hand whether I use my left thumb (standard side) or my right index finger (reversed). Since I alter my grip slightly, either way, I like the idea of my finger having a reason to be off the trigger.
