I have a Glock 22 low Serial# is less than 500 and I have had it for quite a few yrs. I was looking at trading it cause my hands have gotten bigger since I bought it and the rail slides to close to my hand and has even pinched it a couple times between slide and frame. I went to local gun shop and looked at trading it for the Beretta PX4 he had a used one in there in .40 cal. and He said my Glock which has not had but one box of 50 rounds shot through it and is in mint condition and $100 I could get the PX4 just asking does this seem to be a fair trade? The PX4 is in great shape also but has had lots of rounds piped through it looks like. The PX$ does not look like the new Version it seems to be the older version of the handgun not sure but it does not look like it has the piece that you can change on the back strap does not come out.
I wouldn't do it. They are close to the same cost. That $100 will be your loss. Look for a private buyer if you can.
Thanks I felt the same way I have been looking for a private buyer or dealer but have not been able to find one. I think I already been hoo doo'ed on another deal I traded them a Glock 32 357sig that was 3 months old one box of 25 rnds shot through it. They took my Glock and $50 for a Ruger P90 stainless I was wanting a 45acp really bad I probably got the short end of the stick on that deal also.
Thanks for getting back to me so soon I love to shoot and collect I am just up to par on deals and not deals LOL.
I would say that's not a bad deal at all. Unless you can get a better deal by selling your glock for a higher price, and then buying the px4. The dealer is trying to make a living, so I'm sure you could save a few dollars somewhere, but the px4 is a great value and he's not "ripping you off" on this offer.
