noob from the adirondacks
hey all,
my name is Jake and i'm from the northern Adirondacks (Saranac Lake region). I'm a car enthusiast and an avid outdoorsman who hunts and fishes and hikes and all that good stuff. I'll soon be moving to Alaska for a pharmacy job (i'll be a pharmacist as soon as i take/pass my boards in june). I've decided i want to get a handgun as a sidearm while hiking in Alaska as added protection against grizzlies. of course, my first step in protecting myself will be education, not just firepower! It might just be nice in case something goes wrong... but i'll be posting more about that in the "new to handguns" section.
