PF9 impressions

Just picked up a new PF9 today and put about 35 rounds through it at the range. Like the size, weight and features but had a few light primer strikes on Remington FMJ 115gr ammo. Second run through they fired. Not sure what to make of it. Speer HP's no primer problems in the small sample I used. Dimples plain as day just no bang on 3 Remington's. Same ammo in my HK P2000 produced no problems. Feeding and ejecting was 100%. Ergo's are decent as is pointability. Pushing the envelope for pocket sized carry for me anyway but it works given the weight and appropriate shape. Flat and nicely beveled on the aft end for an anti snag draw. Size tends to be between a P3AT and a Walther PPS. Trigger is long and final stage stacks pretty heavy. Shot at 25 yards I only got about 6 shots on target. One nice bulls eye. Wish I new how I did it. Bad trigger control on my part that will take some work. The inherant accuracy is probably there but 25 yards was pushing it for that kind of trigger in my hands anyway. Next outing will be at 15 feet and under to see if I can do any better. I heard it said this is not a fun range gun and while no blood was drawn I now undertand that comment. Recoil is stout and a less than smooth back strap seams do dig a little. A handall or possibly some padded grip tape might help.

Overall I like it for what it is. A no nonsense pocket sized defense tool more likely to be on hand than not when and if needed. My hope with some more range time on it is that I can muster some proficiency at closer defensive distances. I also need to figure out this light primer issue. If anyone has encountered this issue with a Kel-Tec or other brand I'd appreciate any feed back on how you solved it and what it might be.
