Since I have purchased 5 firearms in the past few weeks and my son already owned 7, I started wondering about how much coverage my homeonwer's policy covered. I contacted my local agent and found out I only had $2500 worth of coverage! I calculated that would only be enough to cover 1/2 the amount I have invested. Just a suggestion, you may want to contact your agent.
Very good point, always make sure you're covered.
Its also a good idea to document what you have - make, model, serial numbers, condition, etc. Pictures will help with this a lot. The info will come in handy if you ever have to determine replacement value or report them stolen.

True, but theft is not the only reason for insurance on not only guns, but anything. Fire and "acts of nature" also need to be considered.Quote:
