Gun falling out. ? 4 CCW holders.

Anyone ever squat down at yer local Walmart to get something from the bottom shelf and have yer handgun fall out?
Some holsters seem like they hold the gun loose for added drawing speed, but fits the holster kinda loose.
Just wondering if so, what happened? HG:smt022

If you can't invert the gun and holster without it falling out, it is too loose in my opinion. If the holster has a retaining strap that is disconnected it can be loose until the strap is fastened.

I can squat, jump or run a couple of steps without any of my gun/holster combos letting go. They still release with ease when I draw.

I could run farther without a problem if I had better breathing.

IWB holsters have 2 retention points. 1) the holster's natural retention or adjustable retention and 2) your belt.

A good OWB holster should not drop your gun.

I would not ever use a holster/handgun combo that would allow a pistol to just fall out on it's own, inverted or no. So my answer to your Q is "no".

Its never happened to me. I was just curious as to if its happened to anyone else? I just wondered the outcome if so. Like did the mom grab her kid and go screaming twords the front door. LOL

A little off topic but be aware that most Wal-Mart stores in my area have a sign stating that no CCW are permitted on their property.

From what I can remember seeing somewhere on the Internet (where all info is correct) that's manager discretion and NOT corporate policy. If you call the corporate office and complain, the manager should have to take the signs down.

I feel that it is part of a CCW holders responsibility to ensure that this never happens, ever. For one, if someone drops their gun in an isle at a store, and there is anyone around, expect the police to be called and a lot of questions. Secondly, if your gun is sloshing around that much, the need for a quality holster is in order. I've been told over the years that one should spend anywhere from 1/4 to 1/2 the cost of what you paid for your pistol for a good holster. It doesn't always work out, you can get good holsters for cheaper, but the point is, if you drop big money on a nice pistol, why stop short on the leather?
