My very first gun!

I just recently went to a gun store to buy myself a used Sig P226 .40 S&W for $599 certified preowned. Had to wait 10 days and was scheduled to pick it up this coming Monday the 6th. Today I went in to canceled that gun and they had a P220R Equinox in stock and on sale. Price was $999 and they had it on sale for $910 brand new! So now I have to wait another 10 days due to CA laws. The reason for the change is that it looks so much better than the regular P226. Im sure there are a lot of people here agree with me that the Equinox is a pretty sweet looking gun! I am so excited now. I wont be able to pick it up until the 11th now but its well worth the wait!!! The P220R Equinox is a limited production and only comes in a .45ACP.

thats what i love about tennessee i had to wait a maximum of 30 seconds before i was out the door with my new piece lol.....u got urself a fine piece of iron there sir

Can't go wrong with a Sig that's for sure :smt023 you would have liked the 226 but the P220R Equinox is a good one no question.

+1 on that...congrats on your acquisition. Luckily, here in TX, only have to wait about 2 minutes and your out the door carrying a brand new stuffed plastic box.:mrgreen:

Congrats! Surprisingly, here in the Soviet of Washington*, not only can you fill out the fed forms, pay, and leave -- I've found gun sellers to be the only vendors left in the world who will take a check. Of course, if you've just filled out a 24-page form and gotten an FBI background check, I suppose they figure they know where to find you. Also, I don't know about others, but I'm too much of a chicken to pass a bad check to a store that has a Ma deuce** in the showroom (only $12,000 if you have the right license).

WOW in CA you have to wait 10 days AGAIN just because you want a different gun? That's ridiculous...at least in FL you fill out the form and whatnot and wait 5 days (if you don't have a CCW) then if you change your mind you don't have to wait cause you already waited. You just need to fill out a different form. You've already been checked out via the quick background check call.

That's my understanding.

I think it's because in FL the background check is good for 30 days, then you have to have it called in again.
