Star Model B
I ended up getting this handgun really cheap. It's a typical "guy who needed the money" story. All it came with was one box of Remington UMC. I just disassembled it, cleaned it and test fired it. I had several FTE's with the Remington 115 gr. UMC, but it ran WWB great with no hiccups. I bought it to try and get my wife to do a little more shooting with me. She doesn't like my SA XD in .45 ACP, so I thought this might fit her a little better. If she dosen't like it I'm not out much.
Any other Star owners on here?
What is an average value of a gun in its condition?
Thanks in advance guys!

The Star Model B is now listed as going for from $100 to $300, depending upon condition. So the average is around $200 for Good Condition guns.
I've owned and carried a Star PD for years, and wouldn't give it up for any reasonable amount of money. It's not completely bulletproof, though, because the manufacturer's heat treating is suspect, and the gun's sear has a reputation of being too hard and breaking unexpectedly.
I shoot it a little, but carry it a lot. It's a lightweight, very small, very accurate .45, suitable for self defense.
I like it.

For me the only negative is I get hammer bite when shooting mine. Otherwise, it is not a bad gun. Regards, Richard :)
