Summer shootin' fun challenge

Ok, so I got my shot timer a while back, but haven't been out to get any video, so, I thought today was as good as any.

These are shot 4 feet apart at 6 yards. This is one of the drills Mike was talking about that he and Old Padewan (I think) were shooting.

I'm shooting the Kimber Raptor .45 in these first three video's. 230 Grain Ball ammo.

In this set, I'm shooting the Glock 32C in 357 Sig. 125grain ball ammo.

Fast time of the day between both guns was 1.8 seconds from buzzer to 4th round.

I'm still slapping like a seal in San Diego, man that is a hard habit to break! I've really gotta work on the draw some more.

This was after about 350 rounds or so and the only one of the day.

As always, please don't try this at home if you are new to pistols, it takes a lot of practice. Start slow and smooth, and speed will naturally follow.

Damn Zhur, now I want to go shooting with you just to watch! If I practice enough I'll be that fast someday but definitly not soon :mrgreen:

In all seriousness, though...when your gun stops working, DON'T QUIT! Clear the malfunction and continue the drill. Doing otherwise trains you to quit in a fight. Never, ever give up! Stay in the "fight" and finish it!

You are absolutely correct, and I should have noted that. After about the first 200 rounds or so, things were running like a champ, and I started getting this funny feeling in the back of my mind. Basically that it's gonna FTE on film and I'll be forced, by my own conscience , to post it. I guess thinking something will happen, can sure make it happen.

I had a FTE with another pistol and stayed in it, but the one with the 1911 just made me start laughing hysterically in my head.

Those are nice targets. I have2 ,8" and 3 ,10" plates and 2 large disc blades. I also have 3 Idpa targets. Great to shoot.
You need to be back at least 15 yds on steel targets. Fragments will come back and bite you, possably do worse. Always wear galsses, not sun glasses. I was shooting at paper targets when I was in the State Police and I had a bullet come back and land at my feet. We didn't know there was a rock pile behind the targets. Needless to say the rande was remodeled and cleaned up. Be Safe.:smt083:smt082
