Open Carry Picnic In Lansing
On 27Apr08, I attended an open carry picnic at Rutter Park in downtown Lansing. It was a small group of only 12-13 people and there were 6 of us open carrying. We had a nice, peaceful time. There was a breast cancer run past the park and some foot traffic thru the park. Nobody got their panties in a wad and called the police about an armed mob in the park. Everyone there was from Michigan except for me. I drove up from Indiana. Everyone was packing an autoloading pistol except for me. I carried a revolver. I got to meet some nice people and we exchanged info on our different state carry laws. It was a good time.
