Thanks Bob for the info; on the paste and oil. After reading up on the stuff I am thinking I got some stuff out the garge called semi-crome. I could use that and I got brillo pads under the sink and motor oil too. I'll quit. I am going to stick with Hoppe's #9 & gun oil. They have worked for ever plus I don't mind the little extra work involed to get them clean.
Dwarren: Sounds like you are useing a mix of Ed's Red. Or fairly close to it depending how you mix it. I know a guy who made a gallon about a year ago and he's still using it. He shoots all the time to. I think he said he only had about $10.00 in the whole mix. His guns look as good as anybodys and they work great. Must be something to it. I sure can't say anything bad about it. :lol:

Dry Lube...... for those cold a wet duck hunts.......
