Would you buy this pistol?

While this is my first post here I am not a newbie to firearms or shooting. I have recently, however, really gotten in to shooting semi auto pistols. In the last year or so I have managed to acquire a Bersa Thunder .380 and a SIG P-6, AKA P-225. They are GREAT fun to shoot.

Now, opportunity presents itself again. I have the chance to trade my AK - WASR10 for a STEYR M-40. I am sure that many of your are familiar with this weapon. The particular model I am looking at was made in December of 2000. Its has a serial number of 005XXX. (last digits omitted for security reasons)

I have heard both GOOD and BAD about this particular handgun. I figured that somebody here must be more knowledgeable about the M-40 than I. So, I ask anybody out there in the know, what you think?

Should the AK47 WASR-10 trade for the STEYR M-40 be a "deal or no deal?" (I do have an AR-15 to fill that niche)

Wel. I've not had the chance to handle the STEYR M-40. I did have a WASR 10 though. I loved the way it shot but got rid of it for a Mossberg 835 and an old Ruger 10-22. Look around and see what the WASR is selling for against that Steyr. I'll check out gunbroker to get an idea how something is selling in a few different parts of the country as well as my own to try to figure out just what I'm willing to give for something. I'm sure that there is someone in this forum that has a real opinion of the pistol. LoL I've read some pretty well informed posts here. :watching:

Since You allready have the Bersa nd the Sig, I would hang on to the WASR for a couple of reasons: First It's a long gun and you should allways have at least one rifle or carbine in your collection. And second, Should Hillary get elected (God forbid !!) You will have wished you kept the AK as it will probably be impossibe to get any "Assult Rifles" and will become much more valuable.
I have handled a Steyr which seemed like a nice pistol. The sights are kind of weird though, kind of a triangular kind of arrangement.
