    ^ week wait for an appointment

    So I just finished my paprework. I called the dutchess county police to set up an appointment to turn it in, get printed and photos. They gave me a date six weeks out plus a possible 6 month wait. FYI for anyone else in my place. Any other similar situations?
    As for now looks like I will just be doing the research and asking more questions.

    in dutchess cty do THEY have to do pics and prints? in Columbia i went ot the local State Trooper barracs and asked for a printing (did it then, but would have had to leave if a problem arose) and had a proper sized photot taken elswhere to attach (1-1/2"x1-1/2" i think it was). i had the OPTION of using the CC sheriff's office, but it WAS NOT required. it could speed up the wait a bit.

    They require an appointment. Dutchess has fingerprints and photos.

    Good luck!

    Orange County doesn't require an appointment to drop the application off and get finger printed, but the 6 month wait afterward is the same. After that, its luck of the draw to see which judge will sign off and what restrictions they will add.

    roclon, the photo and fingerprint are required state wide, and the up to 6 month wait after is the same. I just know i had the option of being printed andphotgraphed elsewhere, thats why i asked. The judge here is good.
