    Glock 22 vs taurus 650

I really like the way the glock 22 shoots and feels in my hand. I am very fond of the 357 cartridge, and taurus' revolvers. My main purposes are target shooting and defense from medium to large size animals like hogs. I do not necessarily intend to kill hogs, just to get them out of my way. I want a smaller gun because I have smaller hands.

Just want to get them out of the way? If you're planning to shoot at hogs, you better plan on killing them. 357 Magnum should have the edge in stopping hogs, I'd opt for hard cast bullets in a hot load.

First off, I'd go with the Ruger GP100 over the Taurus.

The Glock 22 would be a fine choice if for no other reason, capacity. And you can get .40S&W ammunition that approaches the venerable .357 Magnum in power (Double Tap)... especially when considering the Taurus 650 has a 2" barrel. I'd be inclined to go for the Glock 22 instead of the Taurus 650.

Not sure where you're going here but the .357 in any revolver would ruin any hog's day. Now, as SouthernBoy stated, the Glock 22 in .40 would be a dream for most shooting situations. A hog? Guess with the extra capacity you should be OK.
